The Atlanteans Trilogy

In the year 2086... Camp Eden promises summer “the way things used to be,” back before the oceans rose, the sun became a daily enemy, and modern civilization sank into chaos. Located inside the EdenWest BioDome, the camp is an oasis of pine trees, cool water, and rustic charm. But all at Camp Eden is not what it seems. No one will know this better than 15-year-old Owen Parker. A strange underwater vision, even stranger wounds on Owen’s neck, and a cryptic warning from the enchanting lifeguard Lilly hint at a mystery that will take Owen deep beneath Lake Eden and even deeper into the past. What he discovers could give him the chance to save the tattered planet. But first, Owen will have to escape Camp Eden alive…

Praise for THE ATLANTEANS:
"A rousing and at times introspective ecothriller with just the right amount of romance." (Booklist)

"A winning combination of high stakes, sacrifice, and heroism." (Kirkus)

"...reads like a combination of Star Trek, Rick Riordan's The Lightning Thief, and Suzanne Collins's The Hunger Games... The plot twists around like a vine, blending mythology, technology, pandemics, violence, and excitement." (School Library Journal)

"Book groups and classes would benefit from the numerous topics for discussion: ecology, pollution, government, religion, and ethics." (VOYA)

"A smart dystopian adventure packed with mind-blowing fantasy and characters you'll love." (Michael Grant, NY Times Bestselling Author of the Gone series)

"The twists are expertly executed, surprising while illuminating, and some pack emotional sucker punches. Readers will beg for the follow-up to this tense, well-plotted sequel." (Kirkus: The Dark Shore)

"The high stakes narrative moves forward with momentum, and a romance between Owen and Lilly is gracefully unveiled." (Publisher's Weekly)

"The Lost Code will satisfy teens' thirst for post-apocalyptic dystopian novels with just the right amount of suspense, adventure, science fiction, fantasy, and romance, but without the brutal violence found in other stories." (VOYA)

"A pulsating and heartbreaking final chapter of this post-apocalyptic series." (School Library Journal: The Far Dawn)

  6. I absolutely love the Atlanteans series! I just discovered them two days ago and I finished Dark Shore late last night. So ready for the next one! The issues brought up truly made me think of how we are effecting our world and the reality that one day we could actually end up destroying our planet to what it is in Owen's time. Kevin, you do an amazing job and I hope you continue to open reader's eyes to these real-life issues. Happy writting!

  10. Hi Kevin!

Thank goodness for my Nook, or I'd never have know this series existed! I studied Environmental Science in College myself, and am fascinated with ecology and human impacts on our very fragile world... it irritated me how many people just don't get it! Read both books in a few days each, waiting for the next! Also, a little crazy to think we live so close, yet I may never get to meet you! I'll have to keep watching your tour lists. Keep it real! You're awesome!

  11. I maybe older than most of your readers, but I think most books are open to any age or gender. I thoroughly enjoyed reading "The Lost code" and am ready to embark on the next journey "The Dark Shore" which I am sure will be just as exciting. I will look forward to reading the 3rd in the series in sept. 2014. Thank you and keep up the good work. It would be great if you could get an invite to the Austin teen bookfest, where many more young readers can enjoy your books as I have.

  12. I am probably the youngest commenter here at age 12, but I am here to cast my praise. Kevin actually came to my school in Redmond, WA last year to tell us about his books and give us a live presentation of "Question Mark." I have read all of the Atlanteans Books so far, and have preordered the last one; I am also currently engrossed in the Fellowship for Alien Detection. Kevin has really inspired my friends and me to think about the future of Earth through these books. They aren't just really good books (my pals and I really love his writing), they are also spark thoughts of the future. I seriously recommend these books to others... And, if Mr. Emerson himself sees this comment, I would be thrilled if he replied with a link to one of his band's songs!
